Keywords in URLs
Using related keywords for naming your web pages can be helpful both for users and search engines. Just like titles and ALT attributes, URLs can tip off search engines about the keywords that are relevant to the content presented at your pages. Adding dashes to separate words in an URI will help search engines to parse these keywords exactly as you want them to be found (Read more on using dashes in URLs).
Example:
If the title of your page is something like this “Blog SEO Tips”, it makes sense to name your page blog-seo-tips.html (.php, .asp, or whatever case may be).
Note: Naming Folders/Directories
You may want to use the same naming method for your folders/directories.
